Building a Global Database with MongoDB Atlas
The key components to a distributed database system are on-demand capacity, high availability, and geographically distributed operations. Let us show you how you can easily accomplish all three of those things when building out global databases using MongoDB Atlas (the official, fully-managed MongoDB service) on AWS. So, if you are looking to scale out your application to different parts of the world and/or have data sovereignty restrictions, this session will help launch your next initiative.

Presenter: Eugene Kang, Senior Solutions Architect, MongoDB
Location: MongoDB Booth #1801, Sands Expo, Venetian

Future-Proofing Your Cloud Data Strategy with MongoDB Atlas
It’s critical to select a forward-looking approach to how you organize, use, and enrich your data in the cloud. In this session we'll discuss how MongoDB Atlas on AWS – a cloud-managed MongoDB service – lets you build confidently without worrying about setup and configuration, database management, high-availability, patching, monitoring, backups, or operations for your distributed database

Presenter: Jason Mimick, Product Manager, MongoDB
Location: MongoDB Booth #1801, Sands Expo, Venetian

Visualize Your Cloud Data Strategy: MongoDB Atlas and Charts
It’s critical to select a forward-looking approach to how you organize, use, and enrich your data in the cloud. Modern data repositories have always made it easy to store your unstructured data, but getting insights from that data has often been painful, involving batch ETL processes, data pipelines and so forth. In this session, we’ll see how to build complex queries to draw valuable insights from data directly in MongoDB and then visualize it using MongoDB Charts, a tool built to natively process rich, nested JSON documents.

Presenter: Ben Perlmutter, Senior Solutions Architect, MongoDB
Location: MongoDB Booth #1801, Sands Expo, Venetian

Automatically scale a serverless app with Amazon Textract & MongoDB
Working with disorganized data is expensive and wasteful. One area in which this is readily apparent is the legal field, especially during the data discovery phase. In this session, we use Amazon Textract, Amazon Comprehend, and MongoDB Atlas to build a serverless product that seamlessly ingests documents and intelligently organizes their data, increasing efficiency and reducing costs. We show you how to easily interconnect these services using AWS Lambda as a backend and how to quickly create web and mobile user interfaces using MongoDB Realm. This presentation is brought to you by MongoDB, an APN Partner.

Presenters:
Diana Esteves, Senior Engineer, MongoDB
Ralph Capasso, Lead Engineer, MongoDB

Running MongoDB securely on AWS using field-level encryption
To help prevent unauthorized access to your data, especially in the cloud, it is critical to deploy and maintain strong encryption. In this session, learn how to use client-side field-level encryption to keep your data secure. We start by explaining how to best deploy and configure a MongoDB cloud service. We then show you how to write applications that encrypt data using safe key management practices without sacrificing the ability to query. Finally, we demonstrate how MongoDB customers already write code so that service providers never see anything but ciphertext. This presentation is brought to you by MongoDB, an APN Partner.

Presenters:
Kenneth White, Product Security Lead, MongoDB
Andrew Davidson, Director, Product Management, MongoDB
Lena Smart, Chief Information Security Officer, MongoDB

Build an in-place Amazon S3 data lake with MongoDB Atlas
Companies are increasingly turning to Amazon S3 as a storage layer for building data lakes, since on-premises solutions struggle with schema management, custom development, and operations burdens. Amazon S3 is a cost-effective option for storing an enormous quantity of disparate, complex data, but querying requires further work. Leveraging the natural fit of the MongoDB Query Language, MongoDB Atlas Data Lake intelligently distributes query execution to analyze Amazon S3 documents in place without the need to transfer data or define schema. With a live demonstration and market examples, learn how to build your data lake where your data already lives. This presentation is brought to you by MongoDB, an APN Partner.
